Who wore what: Aayush Sharma-Arpita Khan Wedding Reception
Unless you are living under the rock you already know of the Big fat wedding of Salaman khans sister wedding in hyderabad. The Hyderabad wedding was a grand starry affair but I did not post about it because no proper pictures were released, but the wedding reception which was graced by many bollywood stars have some great photos of b town celebs in their ethnic best. so lets get to seeing who wore what!
Lets start with the bride Arpita who chose pastel Falguni & Shane Peacock lehenga . She looks good, with good make up and nice simple diamond jewellery . Ofcourse she is the bride and I would prefer her to wear a different colour, many guests looked more dressed . But It is Arpitas day and she has freedom to dress as per her wishes. Congratulations to her . A happy glowing couple this
Shradda kapoor turned up in a bling free Shivan & Narresh color-blocked sari and nude pumps. A shocking pick but that doesn’t mean Shradda dint look lovely. She stood out brilliantly amidst the bling fest . I do wish she atleast wore diamond earrings, but I can forgive her lack of jewellery to an indian wedding as she isnt from the family of the bride or groom. The colour Red is enough to make this look wedding appropriate.
Dia Mirza wore a Manish Malhotra sharara ombre suit coupled with silver clutch and huge earrings. I always love her make up. It wasn’t any different here, she glowed. A personal favourite at this reception
Ameesha Patel trends to wear tactastic looks more often than not, hence when she showed up in this pink manish malhotra and gold jhumkas it was quite a surprise. She looked good . Love that outfit *I Want*I
Huma Quereshi was seen in a mint green Lehenga which she paired with chand balis and gold box clutch. a great pick by Huma in which she looked good. Love the dupatta drape and her lip colour too. Classy and wedding appropriate with right amount of bling is what this look was all about!
Malaika Arora Khan was another disappointment at this reception. Her Sonakshi Rajj sari gown or whatever it was a Big nay for me. This look here reminds me of her item numbers and she was not here to perform one. The clutch doesn’t belong here and the jewellery isnt going well either, the tacky drape complicates the look more. Oh did I mention the chunky shoes? ! Epic Fail!
Malaikas sister Amrita Arora picked a pink sari paired with an embellished gold blouse and huge earrings. Loved this look way better than Malaikas!
Sonakshi Sinha wore a red and gold manish malhotra creation . Gold bag, earrings and red pumps finished out her look. She looked great one of the best dressed at the reception, love both her hair and make up. But I think that much of red shouldn’t be worn to a wedding if you arent a bride .(just my thoughts)
While Farhan akhtar looked his handsome best Zoya akhtar showed us how NOT to dress to an indian wedding.. Nothing works right for her here.
Lara Dutta showed up in a gold Ritu Kumar saree with a matching gold clutch and flowers in hair . I loved Laras look but her ruby jewellery looked a wee bit out of place especially since she went with south indian style hair. Id prefer gold jewellery for this look.-
Genelia wore a floor length Rohit Bal anarkali in blue. she finished her look with gold jewellery and soft make up, Radiant is the word for her!
Alvira Khan the sister of the bride picked an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga. The lehenga is something I wouldn’t pick for free! I hate the colour and everything in it. Not something Id wear to a reception, to mehendi or haldi, sangeet may be id give it a try. Big disappointment this from Alvira, she looked pretty tacky. Just my thoughts
