Stylish ways to celebrate Independence Day the Tricolour way

tiranga , style, tricolour. indiaThis year is flying by, I mean I cant believe it is August already!

So what is special about this month? August is the month of freedom and patriotism, come 15th of this month everyone will be seen sporting the national flag and showing the love for the country.  While furling the national flag, wearing flag brooches and singing patriotic songs can all be fun this independence day add a little zing to your celebrations by styling yourselves in colours of India.

Here are some fun ways to celebrate and showcase the Spirit of India:

Nail It!

Be fashion forward and wear the Tiranga on your finger tips, literally.  Try the tricolour band nail art with a blue polka dot in the middle.

If nail art isnt your thing try this, colour your index finger orange, and coat with white to both your middle finger and ring finger , lastly make your index finger green. Tricolour done, and it is very simple to do too. (while you do this don’t forget to click a pic and post for the nailfie contest )

Wear your Patriotism:

Hunt down your white kurti and pair with a green leggings and saffron dupatta. Voila Fashion meets love for your country.

If you have a white salwar suit, flaunt it with a twist . Pair it with orange dupatta and green heels. Or Better still

Or if you have a saree with saffron-green border resting in your closet, take it for a spin this I-day. Just Pin it with a flag badge for extra patriotic points.

If you are a denim girl then no problem ,  wear your blue denims with white tee and an orange stole. Finish off with green bangles or bracelet.

Celebrate with a Bang with Tricolour bangles

If you are a bangle person you are sure to find plain orange, green and white bangles in your stash pair them up and you are good to go.

You could even stash in three bracelets in orange, white and green for indo fusion look.

Tricolour bindi

Use the bindi pallete to carefully add small tri coloured dots in a vertical line on your forehead.

Tricoloured eye make up

If eye make up is your thing then do a jazzy tricolored flag Inspired eye make up look and finish off with blue liner/ kajal.

Hair Oh tricoloured hair:

Colour your hair in three different colour streaks for funky patriotic feel. The new temporary hair colour chalks could help

Try ribbons. Plait your hair (into two preferably) and tie of with tricoloured ribbons

Use coloured clips on your hair or beads of tricolour to style tiranga way.

Tricoloured salad

Serving a Tri coloured Salad is the easiest way to go green and I will sure be doing this. Arrange slice of carrot, raddish and cucumber in a tricoloured pattern on a plate. Garnish the part with cucumber with lots of coriander.

So, which way will you be celebrating independence day this year? Are you inspired by an idea here or do you have better ideas? Do share.
