#CurrentlyTrending: Saree with a Double pallu

I have already blogged about this latest trend sparked off by the fashion diva Sonam Kapoor on my personal blog here. This very regal trend of wearing two pallu saree is  wedding related so i decided talk about it even here on BlingSparkle.

Promoting Neerja wearing bespoke Abu Jaani Sandeep Khosla sarees featuring double pallus Sonam gave us an all new saree trend. This trend may not be everyones cup of tea because well , not everyone is comfortable wearing and saree and handling the pallu and here we have to go about handling two pallus. !!!

The double pallu saree is literally a saree with two pallus, one draped normally and the other pallu, you can do whatever you want with it! Yes, get your imagination running and experiment crazy with the second pallu to reinvent or add a fun element to your saree.  Here sonam drapes the second pallu in two different styles, one like a dupatta draped around the neck and second like a shawl draped from back to front.

Personally I like the icy blue floral saree look more becuase styling here is more on point and  it gives a very regal feel. The mirror work blouse goes well with the saree and the back of the blouse gives a fun feel.

How to try this : If you want to rock this trend then get a dupatta in hues similar to your saree attached to it from a local tailor and flaunt away!
If you dont trust your tailor then just use the dupatta as is without attaching like a saree with duppatta drape of sorts, should give the same impact, but make sure the dupatta and saree blend in well or just get matching lace attached to your dupatta or it will stick out like an eye sore.

Where to wear?:  Tailor made trend for moms of bride or groom . Even the young brigade can rock this at your own engagement, reception, at sisters, brothers or friends wedding.

Additional tip: Since there is too much fabric involved in this outfit go easy on jewellery but make sure you go for a an interesting blouse to make things wedding appropriate. here sonam went with a lace blouse and mirror work blouse.
