These days I have been trying eliminate chemicals from my skin and hair care routine. I am trying a number of SLS free shampoos and now I am all set to skip face creams loaded with chemicals. I love reading beauty blogs and beauty blogger Shayoni from SweetandBitterBlog.com is using a lot of face oils which is what inspired me into going the essential oils route for skin care.

I did a lot of research and found out that almond oil is very good for skin, hair and health. Almonds or Badam oil is rich in vitamins like E, A and D and it also has oleic and linoleic acids in abundance. There are two main types of almond oils, the sweet almond oil and bitter almond oil.

Mix two drops of honey and two drops of almond oil with a pinch of brown sugar to get a sticky paste. Now rub this paste on your lips a wee bit vigorously to remove dead cells.
