We all have those days when we don’t want to wear a lipstick yet have moisturized pink lips, if you have some of these days then this is the lip balm for you. Maybelline Baby Lips smooth pink bloom is a tinted lip balm which is a white in the tube but turns pink when swiped on the lips. Its a sweet color changing lip balm. This lip balm reminded me of the inexpensive lipsticks I used as a kid . They would be in green or purple color and would turn into a stark red or dark pink when applied on the lips. Maybelline New York makes some of the most amazing lip balms and this is another win from them. I am a true lover of their baby lips and this was a must try for me as it was a tinted lipbalm and I am a sucker for tinted balms.
I have been loving Maybelline baby Lips for so many years now and wanted to try other lipbalms from them. This one turned out to be an okayish one.
Price: INR 190 for 1.7 gm
Packaging: The lipbalm comes in a sleek plastic pink classy twist up tube. The brand name is printed in white and the cap fits the tube tightly. I liked the packaging as it is sturdy and does not break while travelling.
Texture: The texture is soft and might tend to melt if stored in hot humid areas.
Pigmentation: One single swipe moisturizes the lips and leaves a sweet pink stain on the lips. the stain is not overpowering and will suit a lot of Indian skin tones. Two-three swipes will give your lips a dark pink stain which I do not like much. I prefer a light stain much more than a darker one.
Does it moisturize? Well yes, but when compared to other baby lip balms by Maybelline this definitely does not stand a chance. As the name suggests it gives color to your lips and moisturizes lips for about 2 hours after which you need to reapply it.

Overall Maybelline Baby Lips smooth color changing pink bloom is a nice tinted lip balm if you are looking for a tinted lip balm that doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket and the fact that the color of the lip balm changes and is totally different from the one in bullet makes it an interesting lip balm. If you are a tinted lip balm lover you can easily give this a try, you won’t be disappointed. As for me I did not find it to be moisturizing as much as I expected it to and hence would not repurchase it.
