Lakme 9 to 5 CC Color Transform Cream Review - Bronze

Lakme is one brand which launches products which perfectly suit my skin tone. All their foundations and creams have that light yellow hue to them which suits Indian skin very well. This is the reason I love Lakme so much, especially when it comes to foundations and BB/CC creams. But I really wish they had launched more shades to this range too. Read on to know more about this unique 'color transform' cream.

Smell:

The fragrance is very pleasant.. yummy!

My Experience With the Lakme 9 To 5 CC Color Transform Cream:

I totally love the regular Lakme CC cream but it didn't have a good staying power so I was eager to try out this Lakme 9 to 5 CC cream which came with a promise to last long and a unique feature of color transformation. My first thought on using this cream was that - 'Darn! I have chosen the wrong shade!' as I feel this Lakme 9 to 5 CC Color Transform Cream in Bronze doesn't do much for my medium to fair skin tone.

The texture of the cream is amazing and it blends into the skin seamlessly giving a dewy finish. The fragrance is just yum and I love the way the color of the cream transforms from white to a creamy beige after blending in.

I am not happy with the coverage though as it is very sheer and I feel the regular CC cream from Lakme gives far better coverage and finish too.

Pros:

  • Very light weight cream
  • Gives dewy finish
  • Contains SPF 30 PA++
  • Cute travel friendly packaging
  • Doesn't make your face look cakey
  • Amazing nearly-there fragrance
  • Doesn't cause break outs
  • Doesn't require a moisturiser underneath
  • Gives a nice sheer coverage for everyday wear
  • Decent staying power, 3-4 hours
  • Perfect for Dry skin and combination skin types

Cons:

  • Very sheer coverage
  • Available in only two shades which may not suit all skin types.
  • Fails to hide any pigmentation
  • Not suitable for Oily skin. If you have oily skin then you'll have to finish your look with a compact.

Overall, it's a nice cream for daily wear and office wear. It has a hydrating formula which is perfect for Dry and combination skin types.  If you like light weight creams for everyday wear with a nice fragrance and good sunscreen - all in one, then you should go grab this!
