MUA All in One BB Cream/ BB Foundation- Medium Shade 2 Review

I love the concept of BB creams as they are multitasking and i often reach for my BB cream on a daily basis. the thing about Beauty Balms is that they conceal, brighten and moisturize my face all at the same time. My holy grail BB cream is the Ponds BB cream , but I love trying new makeup and hence was looking for a new BB cream. I found this hyped and cute packaged BB cream by MUA on Jabong and thought of giving it a try. Read on to know how it fared with me.

One Word:

WET!

Packaging:

Comes in a squeeze tube packaging with MUA written in silver engraving. It has a screw cap and has a small mouth which comes covered with a  foil. Overall I loved the packaging of this product even though it could've been a lot smaller .

Texture:

Gooey , thick , slimy and oily in nature. It is hard to spread it evenly with fingers. You need a brush or a beauty blender to blend it in. It slips and becomes white when not blended fully.

Pigmentation:

It gives a medium coverage and is very different from the BB creams in India , in a bad way ofcourse.

Staying Power:

The staying power is not much and it settles into every single line of my face.

Shade/ Colour:

A bright wheatish white medium skin tone that would suit fair to medium skin tones.

My Experience:

I have used MUA products in the past and I absolutely love the MUA Ritzy Velvet Cream Blush and I bought the BB cream without reading reviews. My bad, for it turned out to be the worst product in my vanity. I was really sad that I had to pay so much for a BB cream only to find out that it didn't work for me in any way. the consistency for oily and sticky and slimy The shade was a bit lighter but i could work it. The part where you apply the BB cream and wait for it to dry, that! Its going to take forever and sits wet and gloopy on my face. Its good coverage and all that but the fact that it stayed on top of my skin put me off. Every time I touch my face it sticks to fingers like paint and after a few minutes when I tried powdering it to set it , the BB cream settled into fine lines.
It settled around my nose and my eye lines. I looked like a clown and had to blend it for 6 minutes to actually look normal . It tends to leave a white cast when used in huge quantities. I thought it was just for me as I later read great reviews of it on the net but while I researched further oily skinned beauties sweared it was the most disappointing product by MUA and wished it was taken off the shelves!
the only thing I liked about this BB cream is the classy black squeeze tube packaging. the inside product was a HUGE disappointment for me and I tried using it as a highlighter and failed miserably. Its going to lie in my foundation stack until it expires ! I really wish I had reviews before purchasing this one.

Availability:

Available on Jabong.com

Whats Good:

  • Sturdy squeeze tube packaging
  • Might suit dry skin
  • Medium coverage

What could be Better:

  • The formula is slimy, gooey and paint like.
  • It sits wet on the face and does not dry
  • Sits into face lines after powdering
  • Expensive and not easily available in India
  • Very difficult to blend it
  • Starts to stick around the nose and lines under my eyes.
  • Staying power is not impressive
  • It leaves a white cast
  • If used slightly more leaves you looking white and ghostly.
  • The the could be smaller as most of the bottle has a lot of air.

BlingSparkle Rating:★★/5

Would I buy this product again?

NO.

Do I recommend this?

It is a really bad product for people with oily skin , I am not sure how it would fare with dry skin but for me this was a hell of a disappointment. Wouldn’t recommend it at all.
