#Cannes2016: Aishwarya Rai in Elie Saab gown
For her second red carpet appearance at 69th cannes film festival Aishwarya chose stunning in a nude embellished gown from lebanese designer Elie Saab's collection. The Striking lip colour and nails and her side swept wavy open hair all gelled in perfectly to make one of the most memorable looks of Cannes 2016.
Aishwarya Rai attending the premiere of Steven Spielberg film The BFGI looked gorgeous and I particularly loved the makeup of this Elie saab look, especially her lip colour. The lip colour is Aishwaryas signature shade 'Pure Brick' from the pure Reds collection , but it has some plum undertone in many photos but it is probably just camera flashes at play.
This look gave vintage vibes and cinching the waist with a slim belt gave the look more definition. A necklace was also added to the look which i thought should have been skipped, but the neckpiece was a beauty I would love to own something similar to pair with indo western wear.
I was a bit disappointed that Aishwarya Rai did not experiment with colours, wearing similar colours for both her red carpet outings. She wore a gold embellished gown before and now it looked like she just skipped the cape part. She also did not experiment with her hair keeping it pen both the times but with a face like hers you can dazzle even in a sack! Guess we should leave the experimenting bit to style diva Sonam Kapoor.
Earlier Aishwarya celebrated her 15 consecutive years in cannes in a red Naem Khan gown which she paired with bright red lips and open hair (again).
