10 Most Striking Looks from The Cannes 2016 Red Carpet

Cannes Film Festival isnt just about films and premiers. It is also about style and the best of fashion and beauty trends unfurl on red carpet and photo calls at Cannes.
I ofcourse follow Cannes closely only for its fashion and I have already covered Indians at cannes in detail. I liked how Sonam walked red carpet in subtle colours and cape ensembles and even Aishwarya looked great, Mallika not that much but there were more international celebs who just killed it at the French film festival. I thought Blake Lively did the best getting the nice balance between dramatic and wearable outfits. Her trail and cape outfits were so much more manageable than of Sonam or Aishwarya. Kristen Stewart I thought was a disappointment at cannes.

Here I bring to you some of the most striking looks from cannes 2016 Red Carpet:

Sonam Kapoor In Ralph & Russo

Wearing a champagne coloured Ralph &Russo gown for screening of film Loving, Sonam totally killed it. This gown featured a floral long cape and was paired with floral necklace and simple studs. A sleek updo and dewy makeup finished out this look for Sonam.

Kirsten Dunst in Gucci

Such huge floral may come across as overwelhming but kristen Dunst makes this peach Gucci gown work and how. Love how the waist is cinched with a bow and full sleeves add a bit of elegance here.

Araya Hargate

A light pink dramatic ruflles Ralph & Russo gown with a statement neck piece was what Araya Hargate turned up in to attend priemiere of the Cafe society. With an updo and smokey eyes Araya slayed it .

Naomi Watts

Naomi cut a pretty picture in a lavender strapless Armani Prive gown. The beaded column gown was finished with side swept open hair and multicoloured bulgari necklace. The necklace was a bit of over kill but overall Naomi looked fabulous.

Blake Lively in Vivienne Westwood

I already told you Blake Lively impressed me the most at Cannes this year and here you get to see why. For the premiere of “Slack Bay” Blake did a disney princess inspired ice blue look. The now pregnant Blake looked amazing in this look which completed with head band and diamond earrings and bracelet.

Blake Lively in Atelier Versace

Another Blake Lively outfit which I totally loved. Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya looked lovely at Cannes but thought they should have brought in more colour to their outfits which is what Blake did here. Her blue gown with a high slit and trail looked amazing on the red carpet. Love the colour on her.

Amal Clooney in Atelier Versace

In her Cannes debut Amal Clooney rocked a lemon yellow one shouldered gown which featured a high slit and long trail. Red lips, red dangler earrings and jimmy choo complete her “Money Monster” priemere look . Elegant and classy

Anna Kendrick in Stella McCartney

A cheery sunshine yellow gown was outfit of choice for Anna kendrick. A neckpiece and curls finished out this look. I love how the gown falls on her.

Jessica Chastain in Armani Privé

Wearing a summery pastel yellow column gown with a piaget neckpiece Jessica looked sophisticated and fresh. Simple but not lacking in impact

Aishwarya Rai in Elie Saab

Aishwarya looked stunning in a nude embellished gown from lebanese designer Elie SaabThe Striking lip colour and nails and her side swept wavy open hair all gelled in perfectly gave vintage vibes and cinching the waist with a slim belt gave the look more definition. Love.

Which look do you love most? I think Blake Lively Steals the show!
