Top Bollywood Style Moments of 2016 | Fashion Round-Up
Most of us turn to bollywood celebrities for style inspiration and this year we got to witness a lot of epic style moments . Sequins to sheep capes, florals to crop tops and unconventional saree drapes were some trends which dominated 2016 and before we enter 2017 lets have a look at some of the most amazing Bollywood Style Moments.
Aishwarya had a very eventful 2016 making news for her bold character in Ae dil hai mushkil and her statement purple lips in Rama Kadi gown at Cannes. I personally thought the purple lips was a disaster but overall Aishwarya had a fabulous run at Cannes this year and her nude embellished gown from Elie Saab was a winner all the way. The styling was on point with striking lip colour and nails and her side swept wavy open hair.
Pregnant Kareena kapoor owned her pregnancy and glowed all through it in designer wear.we rarely see bollywood divas flaunting their baby bumps but Kareena went on to flaunt it and also walked the ramp for designer Sabyasachi in an olive green lehenga with long choli. This heavily embroidered long kurta style choli had fringe detail it was a nice move to keep styling minimal and add just a tikka and dewy makeup. I must say Kareena blew me away with her maternity style and every look of her was a total winner this one included.
How can we talk about bollywood style and not mention fashion queen Sonam Kapoor? Sonam kept things experimental and interesting all year round but I was a bit turned off by her recent run of cleavage show. No such issues with her Cannes 2016 run, she did a splendid job there and I loved EVERY look of hers from Cannes. This white embroidered gown with dramatic cape look was a stunner and makes it to my best style moments of 2016 list
Katrina is someone who doesnt experiment much so it was a surprise when she turned up at HT Most Stylish event in Antonio Grimaldo creation. More than the outfit the different hair and sun kissed makeup was what made this look memorable. Hoping Katrina goes all out in 2017 and experiments more.
With two big hits Sultan and ADHM Anushka Sharma had an amazing 2016. At Lux golden rose awards Anushka wore a Shehlaa creation showing some her legs from a high slit . Bonus pionts for trying something new on red carpet.
Sheer dreamy capes is one trend which dominated ethnic wear in 20016. Deepika looked fantastic in this ivory Sabyasachi creation which featured an embroidered cape . Pop of green jewels and smokey eyes completed this look for Deepika
Well that was my personal favourite fashion moments from 2016, It was a very eventful year even for our blog Bling sparkle as it got a much needed makeover and the stats also improved a lot all thanks to the love shown by our readers. Priyanka has been having a great international run but her style hasnt impressed me much especially her middle parted boring hair which kind of ages her. That wasnt the case at Billboard Awards whre Priyanka Chopra walked red carpet in a blue buckle strap gown which she wore with messy braid. Perfectly styled and worn, this is a winner.
