Its all about matte lipsticks this season. With a lot of Indian cosmetic brands coming up with matte lip colors I was happy to find a matte lip crayon which wasn’t too harsh and was quite unforgivable when it came to drying of my lips. The Matte As hell Lip Crayons by Sugar cosmetics is one such lip crayon which actually excels when it comes to longevity and smooth non drying texture. This was my first nude lip color and I was bowled over by the effect this lip color had on my vanity. This is by far the most used lip crayon in my vanity case for now. I have sharpened it and it will soon be time for to buy a new one, yes, it is so good !
This might be a perfect nude for a lot of Indian skintones. I can see it looking gorgeous on almost all Indian skin tones. The formula is great and the fact that it comes with a complimentary sharpener makes it even more sweeter. I was head over heels in love with this lip crayon and I plan on buying Marry Poppins from the same range. Some find that the sharpening leads to wastage of product but I have absolutely no problems with that as a retractable lip crayon tends to melt away and hence I prefer a sharpened crayon.

Packaging: The packaging is simple in a black crayon form with the lower portion of the crayon co ordinated with the color of the crayon. The cap is in black color too which sits tight on the crayon. A sharpener comes along with the crayon which is a nice thing.

Texture : The texture of this crayon is pretty impressive. It has a soft creamy consistency and settles into a silky matte finish on my lips. It isn’t uncomfortable as most of the matte lip sticks available in Indian market . This glides easily on my lips and feels light weight. Its best to use this crayon over exfoliated and moisturized lips.
The Shade is what makes this particular lip crayon by Sugar Cosmetics stand apart from the rest of matte lipsticks. Its a lovely peachy brown pinky nude which is a ‘My Lips But Better’ on many of the Indian women out there. It was perfect MLBB shade for me but it turns a darker shade of peachy brown when swiped multiple times. All in all its a beautiful everyday wear shade which you can wear it for work or even wear it with a dramatic smokey eye. This shade is best suited for wheatish skin or medium skin tones.

Pigmentation: Two swipes give you complete coverage and its decently pigmented for a nude lip crayon.
Staying Power: It stays for about 3-4 hours on my lips after which it fades away and as it is a MLBB on my lips its not so apparent. It stays for about 1-2 hours and fades after a meal completely! Reapplication is needed when you have a meal.

- Comes with a complimentary sharpener
- Have a lovely powdery matte texture
- Lovely MLBB shade that would suit a lot of Indian skin tones.
- Good pigmentation.
- Do not need a lip liner underneath.
- Are not very drying
The Bads:
- This shade needs touch ups after a meal.
- Its pricey for the quantity we get.
