Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in Red Pepite 550 Review

I love Maybelline for launching quality products at budget friendly prices. The cheeky glow blush, colossal kajal, hyper glossy liner, baby lips and many more products are proof of that. Years back Maybelline launched its colorsensational lipstick range and they were an instant hit because they offered fabulous pigmentation and satiny texture for an affordable price of 299 only! Today i will be reviewing a red from this range

Shade being reviewed: Shade no 550 Red Pepite

Packaging: All color sensationsational lipsticks comes with a silver base and semi transparent cap from their colour family. The shade Red pepite has a red cap which closes with a click making it travel friendly.

Fragrance: Mild sweet kind of a scent
The texture of the lipstick is creamy soft and glides super easily on lips. This particular shade Red pepite is a warm bronze red with fine shimmer. I love how highly pigmented this lipstick is, i require just two swipes to cover all my lip pigmentation . The finish is satiny with a bronze shimmer sheen which will be loved by beauties who like lip glosses with shimmer. I brought this shade when i liked all things glossy and shimmery but these days i rarely reach for this red lippie.

The staying power isnt too good, it stays a decent 3-4 hours without meals. If you do have a meal or even light snacks reapplication is needed. Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in Red Pepite also transfers slightly but it does not dry my lips out infact I dont feel the need of applying a lip balm underneath. This is a deep warm red so i do suggest you properly exfoliate lips before applying.
